The audacity of universal health insurance

From today’s New York Times:

Mrs. Clinton’s advisers also say that her popularity could lead Mr. Obama to fold some of her policy positions — like universal health insurance — into his platform, though they discounted the notion that her staying in the race was part of a larger bargaining strategy.

Let us hope Senator Obama realizes that for many Americans, "universal health insurance" is a more meaningful message than "change."

If Senator Obama really wants to bring people together, he should start within his own party; adopting the superior Clinton/Edwards health care plan could go a long way towards winning over Senator Clinton’s supporters.
